Thanks to that third umbrella snapping in one week back in 2004, Industrial Design Engineering student, Gerwin Hoogendoorn, devoted his graduation project to creating the ultimate umbrella. And by ultimate we mean the laws of aerodynamics surrendered. The Senz˚ umbrella has been awarded all major design awards in the world for its flawless, stylish and efficient design that can withstand winds up to 100km/h. Traditional umbrellas simply turn inside out, at about 21km/h, where a Senz˚ umbrella will move forward and turn (when held loosely) to find its best position in the wind.

The pongee, aluminium, steel, fibreglass, ABS, NBR Senz˚ umbrella has been thoroughly tested in a windtunnel and comes with a two year storm guarantee.
