Planner

Job Description

  • Work in partnership with our curators to plan inventory buys taking into account taste, historic sales data, availability of product and database size.
  • Perform sales analysis by business category to provide sales and category targets for the curator teams.
  • Create assortment plans for use during buying meetings.
  • Develop product-pricing strategies that optimize sales and margin. Develop knowledge of customer shopping behaviors, category strategies and key business driver.
  • Review buying patterns to identify best-sellers and slow-sellers. Identify re-order and markdown opportunities.
  • Establish and test pricing hypotheses, measure results and develop strategy insights and implications. Implement price changes as necessary to maintain category-pricing strategies.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience as a planner in a retail environment.
  • Fundamental understanding of the key drivers of a retail business and preferably some ecommerce experience.
  • BA/BS degree (preferably in Business, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics).
  • Results driven, with a desire to work in a startup environment.
  • Readily grasps numerical concepts and interprets financial information accurately; ability to utilize retail math skills to analyze and drive business.
  • Systems savvy with experience using Excel, a statistics/BI package and SQL (an advantage).
  • Reliable, a team player, self-directed and results-oriented.
  • Ability to prioritize, collaborate and manage various tasks at one time until they are resolved.

Intern – Client Concierge & Supply Chain

Job Location

Cape Town (Head Office)

Job Description

  • 3-4 month internship.
  • Work in the customer service department with our Client Concierge Team as we delight our customers with exceptional customer support and service.
  • Assist the Supply Chain Guru Team in fulfilling customer orders and liaising with our merchants.
  • Obtain experience in the online e-commerce field while interning in a fun, energetic, dynamic and collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a student studying towards a degree/diploma, at least a 3-year course, or a recent graduate.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week.
  • Confident with computers – Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal, telephone manner and communication skills with a fluency in English.
  • Responsible, reliable and proactive.
  • Positive attitude, understanding and passionate about making people happy.
  • Ambitious with the hunger to learn and grow within a start-up environment.
